Jairation Joint Productions, LLC CEO and Creative Director is Jai Anthony-Lewis Husband. Mr. Husband has spent his entire career producing, directing and teaching animation around the globe, and has worked for such notable production studios as Walt Disney Feature Animation, Turner Interactive, Turner Broadcasting’s Turner Studios, Crawford Communication’s Designefx, and Tama Studios in Auckland, New Zealand. Jai is the son of renown Walt Disney Feature Animation veteran, Ron Husband, and having grown up in the industry, animation and theatrical storytelling is in his blood.
Jai and JJP find their home in Atlanta, GA, where Jai first came to attend Morehouse College, majoring in Fine Art and minoring in Theatre. Before founding JJP, LLC, Mr. Husband spent 10 years with Turner Broadcasting, most recently as Senior Animation Director for Turner Studios, where he developed several animated original shows such as The Fabulous Ambitions of Vaughn Chocolat Eclair and How We Got Over, starring the legendary RuPaul, and an original property currently in negotiation with Turner Studios, Can I Get a Witness, with famed comedian, Steve Harvey attached to voice the main character.
Jai is the writer, director, and Co-Executive Producer of Kasha and the Zulu King, an original animated feature film for BET Networks Original Programming, and the 2013 winner of the 44th NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Children's Programming. As CEO and Creative Director of Jairation Joint Productions, LLC, Jai will helm Atlanta’s first and only Feature Animated Film Studio dedicated to the craft and expression of traditional animation, animation education, and Animated Feature Film development and production.
